 #I LOVE WHEN AMY GETS MOTHERLY WITH RIVER #I know that a lot of people just dismiss it because it’s all fucked up #But seriously it says so much about Amy to still act as a mother toward River and care about her like a mother does a daughter #I just love it so much because none of that crazy shit MATTERS in the end #which is what we all need to be reminded of every now and then #Yeah there’s crazy plot twists but what matters at the end #what has always mattered #is the relationship between characters #the capacity for love that companions always have #and most of all the Doctor’s compassion #the love and compassion that should have run out long ago #but these companions keep it going because they love him so much #and they love each other #So yes Doctor Who is about traveling in time and space #but you can’t travel with the madman in the blue box unless there’s love too
